FIGI is the alias of Vijay Weemhoff, an Amsterdam-based composer and DJ known for his unique sound, blending Electro, Detroit-style Techno, Italo/Space Disco, and Fusion Jazz. He is signed to Magnetron Music, co-founded by Kostijn Egberts and Bas Bron (Fatima Yamaha). His debut EP, “2099,” was released on vinyl in Europe, Asia, and the US, with a new album, “Fig. 1,” set for 2024.

Since his 2022 debut on Magnetron, FIGI has also released tracks on labels like Burning Fik and LOCH INN. His live performances feature him playing keys, programming a drum machine, and manipulating synths, offering dynamic shows that adapt to the audience and venue.

As a DJ, FIGI prioritizes originality and expression over genre, creating energy with captivating grooves for various slots—from warm-ups to peak time. He has performed at notable events like ADE and the Boring Festival and venues including Paradiso and Melkweg.

His music has been remixed by artists such as Seth Troxler and Tom Trago and has received support from DJs like Derrick Carter, Honey Dijon, and Sven Väth.
